Central Parke at Victoria Falls in Laurel, MarylandCentral Parke at Victoria Falls, in the southern part of Laurel, is called a "55+ resort community". This community features a growing number of homes in a compact site design, all with convenient access to the community's amenities and those of the Laurel area. Nearby access to I-95, the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (BW Parkway), and many other major arteries makes it easy to make the short trip to places like Baltimore, Washington, and Annapolis. The Laurel-Beltsville regional hospital is less than a mile from Victoria Falls. The centerpiece at Victoria Falls is a Victorian-themed resort club of over 13,000 square feet. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a fitness center, meeting rooms, game rooms, massage center, catering kitchen, and an arts and crafts room are all available to members of the community. The new shopping center at the corner of Route 1 and Contee Road is the closest shopping - and is almost within walking distance of Victoria Falls. An enormous Shopper's Food Warehouse is the center's primary tenant, along with a Petsmart and numerous places to grab something to eat (including Three Brothers, California Tortilla, Longhorn Steakhouse, and Coldstone Creamery). The big Laurel Lakes Shopping center, with Safeway, Best Buy, Lowe's, and many other stores is less than 2 miles away. Proximity to the planned Konterra development (right next door) will bring additional shopping, eating, and cultural opportunities.
Villas, condominiums, and detached single-family homes are either built, under construction, or planned for the near future. Builders participating in the Victoria Falls project include Drees Homes, Craftstar Homes, Sturbridge Homes, and Michael Harris Homes. Visit the official Victoria Falls web site for further details.
