Frederick

Frederick, not too long ago considered to be much too far for commuting to the DC area, is now at the northern end of an almost continuous string of bedroom communities along the I-270 corridor. Once you've ventured as far west as Frederick you're sure to notice that the geography is becoming more vertical. The city is situated along the westward path from Baltimore to Cumberland Gap and the midwestern United States.

The terrain in the Frederick area lends itself to interesting golf such as that which can be found at Clustered Spires Golf Course. The Frederick Keys minor league baseball team is an affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles.
