Montjoy
Montjoy is a new townhome and apartment community just north of Columbia and west of Ellicott City, a very short distance from Route 100 via the Executive Park Drive exit. The proximity to the western end of Route 100 gives quick access to major north-south arteries Route 29 and I-95.
A quick look at the map and you realize that this is one of the few available spots in this part of Howard County in which a new development could be placed. It's certainly much more desirable since the completion of Route 100 a few years ago. Montjoy is being built on the remains of an old farm and the farm's manor house, being renovated by a private owner, is a centerpiece of the development.
Winchester Homes is building 188 "luxury" townhomes at Montjoy. They're 2-bedroom models with 1 or 2 car garages. Beyond the townhomes you'll find 62 "estate homes", each on 1/3 acre lots. These are also built by Winchester Homes and start at over $800,000. Lots of brick, various designs are between 2,900 and 4,000 square feet of living space.
