Annapolis HomesAnnapolis is the capital of Maryland, home of the U.S. Naval Academy and a favorite spot for those who love to sail - one of the most "liveable" cities in Maryland. Both historic and thriving, with growth driven by the state government and businesses who have chosen to locate in Annapolis for the benefits provided by it's location and amenities.
The historic district of downtown Annapolis is a popular tourist destination, with the capital building, the U.S. Naval Academy, the city dock, and many old homes all within walking distance of each other. From the dock in downtown Annapolis you look across the bridge into Eastport, home of the area's most rabid sailors. In recent years there's been lots of growth in the area known as Riva, adjacent to Riva Road in the northwest part of town. Some of the most expensive homes in the state lie along the shores of the South River, while a little farther south you'll find the growing Edgewater area. Crownsville is just a couple miles north of Annapolis, near the state fairgrounds, while Herald Harbor is an interesting little community tucked in a nook off the Severn River. Links
